This is a very rough outline of the programme, based on an early draft. I hope to be able to post the final version soon.


1st day - 18th August - Arrival-Welcome (informal)

2nd day - Thursday 19th August (Preparation - France)

3rd day - Friday 20th August - Preparation - Portugal

Theme of day - Our roots and our Baptism
- influences of family, friends / peer group, parish
- choice in our lives ( choice says something about who we are)
- important events
- use of family tree or path of life (life as a journey)


4th day - Saturday 21st August Preparation by Ireland / England

Theme - Walking with others (the other as sacrament) - Friendship
- their experience of friendship
- relationship within marriage
- relationship within community
- relationship with Jesus

5th day - Sunday 22nd August - Portugal
Theme: Our gifts - fulfilling our potential - accepting differences between people and nationalities (richness of experience and challenge) - Community

6th Day - Monday 23rd August - France
Theme: The stages of our life- growth (through difficulties) and letting go
Witness: Mere St. Jean- different stages of her life, talking about her ability to let go

7th day - Tuesday 24th August - Preparation - Ireland and England
Theme: Mission - What am I called to? Our call to Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation.
